Does EstimateForge write my proposal?
No. It produces a structured task breakdown with industry-typical hour ranges, a per-task risk register, a client-ready PDF, and an editable web view. It is for estimate kickoff and refinement, not final proposal prose.
Are the hour ranges calibrated to my agency?
No. Hour ranges are industry-typical starting points, not calibrated to your agency's historical actuals. Calibration (uploading past estimates vs. actuals) is on the v2 roadmap. The risk register is the differentiator — the hour ranges are honestly labeled starting points you adjust.
Why a risk register? Isn't an hour range enough?
The risk register is what a side-by-side viewer notices vs. generic ChatGPT output. It surfaces specific scope-killers — Salesforce governor limits, custom checkout risk, 50K-product migration integrity, unknown API rate limits — that a quick read misses and that determine whether the project is profitable at the bid price.
What happens with a vague RFP?
EstimateForge refuses to estimate RFPs with unresolved placeholders (like [niche] or [integration]) and returns a clarification-needed artifact listing the exact ambiguities to resolve. You can override with explicit 'assumptions made' labeling after subscribing.
What do I get with the $99/mo subscription?
Unlimited estimates, the editable web view (adjust hour ranges, mark risks resolved/absorbed, re-export PDF), client-ready PDF export, and the estimate archive. First estimate is free. Cancel anytime via Stripe.
What file formats can I upload?
.docx, .pdf, .md, and .txt, up to 10 MB. Larger documents slow the pipeline and rarely add signal — trim to the relevant sections and re-upload.
What should I not upload?
Do not upload classified, export-controlled, or third-party confidential material you are not allowed to process through a self-service web tool.
How do refunds work?
Automatic refunds cover verifiable generation failure (pipeline error → month free) and verifiable non-use (no PDF export in the cycle → refund on request). Use the refund button on the estimate page within the refund window. The $99/mo subscription is cancelable anytime via Stripe.
